[CLIENT FILLS: legal review] These terms are written to describe how magraft actually works in each of its four markets. They have not been settled by counsel in Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia or South Africa, and fund holding, worker classification and placement each carry different obligations in each country. Do not publish them without that review.
What is collected
What you type into a form: your name, your email address, a WhatsApp number if you give one, the property location and the description of the work. For providers, the trade, capacity, service area, pricing mode and any credential and reference details.
Why an email address is required
The confirmation gate sends a code to your inbox. Nothing is written to the magraft record until that code is entered. It is what keeps the list free of posts nobody stands behind.
What is published
A public listing shows a city, a trade, capacity, travel distance and pricing mode. Contact details are not published. They are released to the other party when an introduction is made.
References
Referees you name are called by a person at magraft as part of a category check. What they say is used to decide a mark. It is not published.
Storage and removal
Records are held on the magraft control sheet. Ask the desk and a record is deleted, which removes the listing and any mark with it. [CLIENT FILLS: retention period per market].
This site
The site stores your shortlist in your own browser session so it survives the hop to the request form. It clears when you close the tab. [CLIENT FILLS: analytics position].
Which law this runs under
magraft operates in four countries and the strictest rule that applies to you is the one applied. In Botswana that is the Data Protection Act 2018, in South Africa the Protection of Personal Information Act 2013, in Zimbabwe the Data Protection Act 2021, and in Zambia the Data Protection Act 2021. Where a visitor reaches the site from the European Union or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation is applied to that visit.
The lawful basis is contract for anything needed to route a job or publish a listing, legitimate interest for keeping the list honest and preventing abuse, and consent for anything else - which you may withdraw by writing to the address below.
What rights you have
You may ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, ask for a copy in a portable form, object to a use, or complain to the supervisory authority in your country. A request is answered within thirty days and there is no charge for the first one. Write to privacy@magraft.com.
How long it is kept
A published listing is kept while it is published and for eleven months after it comes down, so a dispute about work already done can still be answered. A job request is kept for twenty-four months. References given to the desk are kept for as long as the listing stands and are never published. A confirmation code is held in the script's cache for ten minutes and is not written anywhere.
Who else sees it
The desk uses Google Workspace to hold the control sheet and to send confirmation codes, and Google Analytics to count visits. No personal data is sold, and none is shared with an advertiser. A provider sees a job's detail only once the desk routes it to them.
Cookies and counting
This site sets no advertising cookie. Your chosen currency and your shortlist are kept in your own browser and never leave it. Visit counting is switched on only once a measurement id is configured, and it is set to anonymise addresses.
